Hellmouth Inn -- Storyline

This story starts with the late Abigayle Hayle. No one knows what she got herself into as a child, but a dangerous curse was placed on her. Not only her, but it was also going to claim one of her children. She kept this a secret from friends and family until it caught up to them. Brent Hayle died one tragic afternoon. His daughters, Aislinn (8 years old) and Aspen (6 years old), had the misfortune to stumble upon their recently deceased father when they came out to play. His body looked as if someone.. something tore into him violently. The screams of the two girls drew their mother from the inn where she saw the same unfortunate picture that would forever be etched into their minds. Loving father and husband, whose body seemed to be mangled, lied lifeless before them. Large gashes seemed to almost skin him. Everyone wondered what could have done this terrible deed. Everyone except Abigayle. She knew.

Years later, the kids were grown up, ready to venture out into the world, until their worst nightmare came true. Brandon found Abigayle Hayle dead at the bottom of the stairs in their own private residence. As if that was not bad enough, another murder took place that very day. Room 3 inside Hellmouth Inn had been occupied. All that occupied it that night was the body of a man who had been suffocated to death in his bed. The pillow was still covering his face when Brandon ran in checking rooms after discovering his mother's body. Abigayle and the guest were the only two on the property. No one was home; no one was in the house or inn when the events took place. It looked as if Abigayle had a terrible accident. The guest had clearly suffocated. What had happened? Brandon suspected something else was going on here; something sinister, perhaps. Could Brent Hayle have reached from beyond the grave to cause his wife harm? As well as the alleged guest in Room 3? Brandon (25 years), Aislinn (20 years), and Aspen (18 years) were left to fend for themselves now.

Brandon waited just until after Abigayle's funeral to tell his sisters that he was leaving. He knew something was up with this place and felt uneasy at the thought of staying for a day longer. He didn't like passing over the spot where he'd craddled his mother's broken body just days before. How was he to deal with that daily? The three of them fought, argued, and cried. The Hellmouth Inn had been in the family and passed down for many generations. It was settled on its own land on the edge of a small town. Something always seemed to be a little off, but nothing this terrible had ever happened in its history before. Brandon was leaving, but Aislinn and Aspen couldn't just let the Inn go. It was their mother's dream to see this place soar. They had dreams too, though. It wasn't fair to them that Brandon was getting out and they felt the weight of the Inn on their shoulders. Plans of traveling, seeing wonderful places, and experiencing new things shattered in the hands of the two young adults. Brandon ended up moving to the big city to study law while the two girls stayed to care for the Inn.

Today, Aislinn (23 years) and Aspen (21 years) still run Hellmouth Inn. The first year or two, they barely made it by. They are trying their best to keep the Inn afloat by themselves. Brandon has never returned to Hellmouth Inn, though he has visited around town since leaving, but the three of them are still in touch. Brandon helps with finances if the Inn hits rough spots. They can finally afford to hire some help instead of carrying on the tasks by themselves.

Later, it was found out that the male guest in Room 3 that was suffocated had been dating Abigayle Hayle within the last few months before her death. Love letters were found in Abigayle's room from the guest who had been staying in Room 3. Eye witnesses have even seen two figures at the top of the stairs where Abigayle was found dead. A shadowy figure of a male seems to be pushing the figure of a female. Perhaps it was Brent Hayle, getting revenge on his wife for being with another man? It would make sense; the man in Room 3 was murdered, after all. Or maybe he knew about the curse and was getting back at her for it getting to him? Perhaps the curse that haunted Abigayle all her life was still lingering around the Inn and it got to the guest before it got to her. No one really knows, except for one; Abigayle, but she isn't doing much these days. Unless you count the strange noises or shadows playing tricks from the counters of your eyes.. Hellmouth Inn has more strange events going on now than ever before.
